Types of appeal

The intended audience is people who eat fast food. My evidence is it has picture of a fast food restaurant logo on it. The purpose is to make you think twice about eating fast food because it is bad for your health. The persuasive appeal is pathos because it uses strong emotionally charged words such as "kill" and "hating".

  1. Everything that you said, I completely agree with. Along with Pathos, I think that it is use of Ethos. This is because it is clearly saying whether eating fast food is right or wrong. If something is going to kill you, you clearly dont want to eat it. It was also a good use of emotive language and exaggeration. Saying 'kill' and 'hating' are strong words. It is really exaggerated, considering the real possibilities of the food killing you.

  2. Paul you make a great point about the billboard. It is trying to get you away from all fast food because it is bad for you. They really emphasized the dangers of the fast food by using words like 'kill' and 'hate'. When you think about it why would you use Ronald from McDonald's maybe they are trying to Talk specifically about one restaurant. Other than that I like your observations on th billboard.
